Daughters apartment

This is daughter's new apartment. Pictures as promised. So far, everything has worked out with a few minor glitches on moving in. Cable, hot water, matching decor, all in place now. I have enjoyed supplying a few things for her. The clubhouse is very nice with fresh baked cookies and coffee and tea. I may set up there for a few hours on a weekend to study. There is a pool overlooking the river and a gym where she has already started working out. This place is even better than the apartment that she had in another major city while she was studying to become a nurse.

She has started her new job this week. So far, lots of orientation, but she has purchased new scrubs, had her id badge made saying RN on it and is now ready to get on the floor and help save kids lives. What a job. I couldn't be any prouder.

Wedding Celebration

Beautiful wedding on Friday. Had a great time, met some wonderful people and celebrated this couple, obviously so much in love. Both in school, both love the same activities. It was a different, new age wedding complete with female minister, an egalitarian couple, they promised to speak kindly to each other in their vows. Loved that part. Also very different was the co-mingling of the waters from their geographically significant locations during the ceremony. Both the bride and the groom are never seen without a water bottle. Cape May, NJ, Colorado, and Grammy's house water went into the same bowl, signifying the couple's spiritual unity. It was appropriate as it poured rain the entire day and evening. It was held on a beautiful estate and would have been lovely in the garden. The mansion was just gorgeous with flowers and candles everywhere. The couple will honeymoon in Thailand at Christmas during semester break. They both love to dance, especially the bride! It was very difficult to get a photo of her as she didnt stop moving during the entire reception. It was a magificent evening. There were so many individual and personal touches that make every wedding so memorable. I was honored to be a witness to this unforgettable event.
